Liza Blumental Kaufer

Ms. Kaufer graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, San Diego where she received her B.A. in Political Science in three years in 1995. She subsequently was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship for academic achievement from California Western School of Law where she received her law degree in 1999. During her time at California Western, Ms. Kaufer was admitted to participate at the Universite 1 Pantheon Sorbonne where she attended a program on international and comparative law through Cornell Law School. Upon graduation and as an extension to her foreign externship, Ms. Kaufer returned to Buenos Aires, Argentina to work as an associate in an international firm dealing primarily with international arbitration and gas and oil law. Upon return to the United States, Ms. Kaufer worked both as in-house counsel for Latin America and the Caribbean to a San Diego based nationally traded company as well as in a separate firm concentrating on corporate law and business transactions. In 2004, Ms. Kaufer completed training on conflict resolution mediation at Loyola Law School in satisfaction of California’s Dispute Resolution Programs Act (DRPA Statute). Ms. Blumental Kaufer is fluent in Spanish, French and Italian.
